INVITATION 2024:

Calling all cricket teams in Finland! Nepal Cricket Club Ry - E8848 is thrilled to invite you to the tenth edition of the SevenZer League - "RAVINTOLA SAURAHA SEVENZER LEAGUE CRICKET 2024."

Since its inception in 2014, the SevenZer League has become Finland's most thrilling cricket event. This annual tournament stands out with its unique format: each match features 7 overs per side and 7 players per team. This condensed format ensures action-packed games and an unforgettable cricketing experience as teams compete for glory.

Defending Champions:

Note: We urge all teams to prioritize safety and use appropriate equipment. While the organizer will provide first aid for minor injuries, they will not be liable for any injuries sustained during the tournament. All players must hold a valid suomisport license.

LEAGUE STRUCTURE:

Played with a Hard-tennis ball
Nine teams divided into three groups
Each team plays two league stage games
Top team from each group and the team with the highest Net Run Rate (NRR) among the remaining teams advance to the knockout stage
Additional fixtures will be accommodated if more than nine teams register

Team Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 players to participate
  • Submit a maximum of 11 players' list to the organizer 3 days before the event
  • Clubs can have as many players as they wish; unassigned players can join any team
  • All players must hold a valid suomisport license.

Participation is open to all teams regardless of nationality. Selection is on a first-come, first-served basis, so secure your place by paying the entry fee promptly.

SCORING AND RESULTS:

The scoring will be managed via #CRICCLUBS. All match updates will be shared on the event page, Facebook, and the club website.

RULES:

  1. Players: Maximum of 7 players per inning, 3 players on the leg side.
  2. Timing: New batsman must enter within 70 seconds after dismissal
  3. Breaks: 7-minute innings break between matches
  4. Timing: New batsman must enter within 70 seconds after dismissal
  5. Smoking: Prohibited within 50 meters of the ground or scoring premises. Smokers can use a designated area during their break time when they are not playing.
  6. Conduct: No abusive language or aggressive behavior; umpires may penalize misconduct.
  7. Bowling: Maximum of 2 overs per bowler; one bowler may bowl 3 overs (third over after the fifth over).
  8. No Balls/Wides: Cost 2 runs and are re-bowled
  9. Wide and No balls cost 2 runs and are re-bowled.
  10. LBW: First case is a warning, second case results in out.
  11. Balls pitched or edged outside of the mat are deemed as No balls and cost 2 runs; there is no free hit.
  12. All No balls except those outside of the mat result in a free-hit, but two beamers in an innings will eliminate the bowler from bowling further.
  13. The last man can also bat, and the 6th wicket is the runner.
  14. Standard cricketing rules are applied throughout the tournament.
  15. In case of disputes or misconduct, the decision of the organizing committee should be strictly followed.
  16. Each club is responsible for arranging water bottles for their team and should fetch water from the changing room.
’’’’’’’’’’’Note: If weather or any other factor interrupts the tournament, it will be shifted to another viable day, Scoring and Umpiring duties will be sorted by the organizers. A representative from each club should sit aside the scorer for name info.
